As a village of Marmaris, Turunc is appx. 20 kms from Marmaris and 120 kms from Dalaman airport. The bay has a fine 500m long sand and shingle beach, lapped by the clearest of blue seas at the entrance to Marmaris Bay. The beach is the proud holder of the Blue Flag - an annual award for the cleanest sea water and beaches in Turkey. For a small resort, Turunc offers a wideturunc05selection of water sports including wind-surfing, water skiing, speedboat hire and scuba diving. There are a number of shops in the resort offering a selection of Turkish bargins. You probably won’t want to stray from Turunc, but if you wish to see Cosmopolitan Marmaris, a 40 minute boat crossing will get you there. They operate every hour from 09.00 - 21.00, to Marmaris and fromturunc0609.30-23.00 from Marmaris to Turunc. The scenery in and around Turunç is truly magnificent and many enjoyable hours can be spent rambling, following coastal tracks past Amos bay to Kumlubuk or into the mountains behind Turunc. You can also explore the many bays and inlets along the Bozburun peninsula.
